Her educational background includes a focus on insolvency & restructuring, a Bachelor of Law / Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with First Class Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Cambridge. Additionally, she studied abroad at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

Throughout her career, Julia Abouaf has held various key positions such as Head of Strategic Operations at Plentific, Consulting & Advisory at Freelance, Head of Supply and Community Operations - Europe at TaskRabbit, and roles as an MBA Consultant at CloudMargin - Collateral Management and WaterBridge Ventures. Prior to these roles, she served as a Senior Associate at Ashurst LLP in New South Wales and Ashurst Australia, also working as a Lawyer at Ashurst Australia (formerly known as Blake Dawson).
