Juanjo Canals

Juanjo Canals is a seasoned Information Technology consultant with over 15 years of experience in the field. His professional journey began in 1998 and spanned until 2013, during which time he worked with a diverse portfolio of companies, acquiring a breadth of knowledge in various technologies and methodologies. From 2007 to 2013, Juanjo's projects were concentrated on Information Security and Business Continuity, involving the implementation of ISO-27001, Risk Assessments, Business Continuity Plans, Data Protection, and more. In 2012, he assumed the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in addition to his Security Manager position. Transitioning from consultancy, Juanjo served as the Business Security & Business Continuity Manager at an Insurance Company in Milan from 2013 to 2015.

In December 2015, Juanjo took on the CISO role in a Real Estate company headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, marking the beginning of his tenure in the real estate sector. His career in this industry continued to flourish, as in July 2019, he assumed the CISO position in another Real Estate company located in Madrid, Spain. Building on his successes, Juanjo further expanded his expertise by undertaking the CISO role in a third Real Estate company based in Madrid, Spain, starting in September 2020. Notably, all three real estate enterprises are affiliated with an American investment firm.
