Juanita Harris is the Assistant Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel for Human Resources at DIRECTV, a position she has held since August 2021. With over 20 years of legal experience, she has developed a robust background in federal regulatory matters, antitrust, commercial transactions, litigation, and labor and employment law. Prior to her current role, Harris worked extensively at AT&T in various legal capacities, including senior legal counsel for labor and employment and general attorney for healthcare sales and government education sales.12
Harris began her legal career as an Honors Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, where she focused on antitrust and merger and acquisition issues. Her diverse experience includes managing legal compliance and litigation related to employment law for a workforce of over 30,000 employees across 48 states, covering a wide range of legal matters such as wage and hour laws, pay equity, and diversity initiatives.1
In addition to her professional achievements, Juanita Harris holds a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Southern University—Thurgood Marshall School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas. She is also licensed to practice law in Texas and before the Supreme Court of the United States.1
