Juan Iraola

Juan Iraola is an industrial engineer specialized in business organization with over 30 years of experience as a consultant, focusing on helping companies improve their business through technology.

His career in the sports sector began in January 2016 at Real Sociedad, where he led the digital transformation of the entire club, enhancing fan engagement, sports performance, management efficiency, and stadium upgrades.

In November 2021, Juan joined the Baskonia-Alaves group, a conglomerate comprising a basketball club (Baskonia), two soccer clubs (Alaves in Spain and Istra in Croatia), and a fitness center with over 5,000 members, to work on the ambitious Innovaraba project.

The Innovaraba project involves setting up a university offering programs in health, sport, and technology, training centers for football and basketball, a research center focusing on health and sports, and an innovation hub integrating technology across all areas. The project aims to provide global youth the opportunity to combine studies with soccer or basketball practice.

Juan Iraola co-founded Stredium, a company operating in the blockchain and web3 space within the sports sector.

He is also known for establishing the Sports Innovation Alliance, a network of 34 football clubs from 29 countries, dedicated to sharing knowledge and experiences in innovation.

Juan holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Organization from the University of Navarra.
