JT White

JT White is the Co-Founder and CEO of Forerunner, a company he established in January 2019 in Portland, Maine.13 Forerunner is a software platform designed to empower communities in preparing for, responding to, and planning for future disasters and major incidents, with a focus on floodplain management.4

Prior to founding Forerunner, White held several notable positions:

• Head of Design (Interim) at Maven Clinic (April-December 2018)
• Director of Design at Managed by Q (2015-2018)
• Co-Founder of Triage (2014-2015)
• Design Researcher at MIT Media Lab and Harvard University (2013-2014)1

White has been actively involved in growing Forerunner, which had a successful year in 2024.2 The company has expanded its services, launching the Forerunner Academy in February 2024 to empower the floodplain management community.5

JT White co-founded Forerunner with Susanna Pho, and together they lead the company from different parts of the country.4 Their goal is to create resilient communities through their software platform, which is evolving towards becoming an "All Hazards Resilience Platform".4
