Joya Banerjee is a resourceful and results-oriented leader with 18 years of experience in global health, focusing on areas such as gender, gender-based violence prevention, sexual & reproductive health and rights, maternal and child health, HIV, and adolescents. With a Master of Science in Global Health and Population from Harvard School of Public Health and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Rights from Columbia University, Joya has extensive field experience in 14 low and middle-income countries. She is known for her expertise as an implementer, researcher, organizer, policy advocate, donor, fundraiser, and non-profit founding director. Joya is fluent in Spanish and Bengali and has basic proficiency in Portuguese, Hindi, and French. Beyond her professional achievements, she is also a certified Yoga Teacher specializing in Vinyasa and Yin styles, currently teaching at Yoga District DC.
