    Joy Wood has a diverse background with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching.

    With a passion for equity and innovation, Joy has been actively involved in advocating for equity and inclusion in the tech industry through STEM curriculum development and teaching.

    Joy is currently engaged in developing an open-source computer science curriculum focused on Python, aimed at providing teachers with a customizable, project-oriented approach to teaching computer science.

    Her educational journey includes studying Hebrew Language and Literature at The Hebrew University, Turkish Language and Literature at Ege Üniversitesi, and earning a High School Diploma from Baku International School.

    Additionally, Joy pursued further education by studying for a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching at Relay Graduate School of Education.

    Throughout her career, Joy has been associated with various organizations such as The CUBE School as a Computational Thinking Teacher, Juni Learning as a Curriculum Developer and Instructor, and DSST Public Schools as a Founding Computer Science Teacher and an Apprentice Math Teacher.

    She has also been actively involved in initiatives like founding STEAM Girls VT, serving as a Lead Instructor and Curriculum Tester at iD Tech Camps, and working as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at Middlebury College.

    Joy's professional journey includes roles like Student Russian Translator at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, First Year Counselor at Middlebury College, ADA Specialized Worker for Russian Language School also at Middlebury College, Technology Consultant at Middlebury College, and an English as a Second Language Tutor at Ege University Turkish Language Program.
