Joy Ngugi is a Kenyan-born visual storyteller who honed her craft in Southwest Michigan, influenced by her experiences as a third-culture-kid.
With a strong inclination towards social issues, she has engaged in film projects across the United States, Kenya, and Honduras, driven by her passion for storytelling and impacting change through visual media.
Joy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Documentary Filmmaking from Andrews University, underlining her commitment to mastering the art of storytelling through film.
Her professional journey includes notable roles such as Video Producer & Editor at The White House, as well as various positions at Biden/Harris Presidential Transition and Biden for President, where she showcased her skills in visual storytelling and content production.
Additionally, her experience as a TV Producer at PBS WNIT and roles at other organizations like ABFF Ventures, LLC and Hope Channel have enriched her skill set and diversified her portfolio in the realm of media and production.
