Contemporary Art Conservator & Chinese Translator
Joy Bloser is a professional Art Conservator with a specialization in the care and conservation of modern and contemporary objects. She is also a skilled Chinese-English translator of art-based texts. Currently, Joy serves as an Assistant Objects Conservator at The Menil Collection in Houston, TX. Her educational background includes a MS/MA in the Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works and History of Art & Archaeology, focusing on Objects, Modern, and Contemporary art from NYU Institute of Fine Arts. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language and Literature, Art History from Middlebury College, and has studied Organic Chemistry at the University of Colorado at Denver.
