Joumana Silyan-Saba

Joumana Silyan-Saba is a dedicated and thoughtful individual with a strong passion for bringing about social change. With over 16 years of experience in advocacy, she has established enduring relationships across various sectors including government, public, private, nonprofit, and academia. For almost nine years, she served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at CSUDH, where she taught and developed graduate-level curricula. Joumana is multilingual, culturally sensitive, and actively engages with diverse stakeholders and underserved communities in Los Angeles, fostering meaningful dialogues. She is renowned for developing impactful programs, initiatives, and events, collaborating with a wide range of partners from academic, policy, community-based, philanthropic, and business spheres. Joumana excels at crafting model policies and programs based on best practices at local and national levels. As an ambassador, advocate, and spokesperson, she proficiently represents organizations and advances their agendas on social, political, business, and cultural matters. Her collaborative leadership style focuses on influencing and implementing communication strategies to unite people, foster consensus, and build lasting relationships. With exceptional communication skills, Joumana is experienced in public speaking, engaging with the media, presenting, managing correspondence, drafting public policies, and creating press releases. Joumana is currently the Director of Policy and Discrimination Enforcement at the City of Los Angeles, leveraging her extensive background to drive positive change and make a meaningful impact.
