Josue Villanueva (JV) is a first-generation American and college student with a non-traditional background and a self-taught software engineer.

As a Latinx in the tech industry, Josue has overcome numerous challenges, showcasing his hunger for knowledge and self-drive to excel in his field.

Aside from continuously learning to enhance his engineering skills, Josue dedicates his time to assisting individuals from underrepresented communities by providing guidance and encouragement.

He actively participates in communities that promote diversity and values the unique experiences and backgrounds of others.

Josue holds an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Bunker Hill Community College and has held various roles including Integrations Engineer at Swiftly, Inc., Software Engineer Volunteer at FightPandemics, and several internships and positions in software engineering.

His diverse professional background includes experiences in web development, marketing technology, mathematics tutoring, and software engineering training.
