Joshua Pearl is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and investment banking. He is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Hickory Lane Capital Management LP, specializing in special situations and fundamentals-oriented asset management across various sectors like tech, media, telecom, business services, and industrials.

Before establishing Hickory Lane, Joshua held a leadership position as a Managing Director and Partner at Brahman Capital, a prominent equity long/short manager known for investing with top-tier management teams. In his earlier career, he spent eight years in the investment banking sector, working with renowned institutions like UBS Investment Bank, Moelis & Company, and Deutsche Bank. During this time, he focused on high yield financings, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, mergers & acquisitions, activism, and board advisory.

Joshua is also a respected author, having co-authored books such as 'The Little Book of Investing Like the Pros' and 'Investment Banking: Valuation, LBOs, M&A, and IPOs.' He has been featured in various media outlets, including CNBC, Institutional Investor, AlphaWeek, Newsmax, The UK Telegraph, and more. Joshua has established corporate partnerships with companies like Nasdaq, Latham & Watkins, Datasite, and Altrum.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Having grown up in Cleveland, Ohio, Joshua Pearl currently resides in New York, New York, with his family.
