Joshua McMurray

Joshua McMurray is a seasoned public sector professional with a broad range of experience in local government. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Public Administration from San Diego State University, solidifying his dedication to serving the public. Throughout his career, he has held a multitude of positions, including community and economic development director, interim city manager, and planning manager for the City of Oakley. McMurray has also worked as a trustee for the Byron Union School District, where he gained further experience in policy development and governance. Prior to his tenure with Oakley, he worked for the cities of Santee and San Diego.

As the current City Manager of Oakley, McMurray manages city operations and leads a team of staff members. His expertise lies in community and economic development, planning, and housing, but he also has a strong background in policy development and governance. McMurray's dedication to serving the public has been demonstrated through his extensive history of volunteering on community organizations and committees.
