I'm fortunate to have worked for some great companies over the years and with my roots in Finance, I chose to live below my means and invest.  My plan was to be able to retire in my 30's, and so I followed-through.  ;-).  

On a sojourn for the last year and half, I was able to spend time reading books, learning, and pursuing personal growth.  Made some progress on my goal of visiting every country in the world, did some more scuba / skydiving, and pursued passion projects.

Responsible for driving step-change improvements in Target's Global Supply Chain.  Additionally, I built go-to-market and merchandising strategies for International opportunities.

Key Accomplishments:
1)  Enabled International Shipping from Target.com to 220+ Countries/Territories
2)  Launched Target China  -  #1 new store on Tmall Global w/ 98% Customer Satisfaction Rating
       •    Launched within 4 months of funding
       •    Profitable in the first 12 months; less than 1% OOS rates and 87% of orders delivered same day
3)  Implemented Agile in a non-tech environment ¬(i.e. Supply Chain & Finance SCRUM Teams)
4)  Built an ‘End-to-End Network Model’ to enable trade-off decisions for the global supply chain and partnered with key vendors to reduce costs across the entire value-chain, saved $2M in the first 3 months

Target

Senior Director - Supply Chain Transformation & International Strategy

Led the Finance teams responsible for Target.com, Target's various Subsidiaries, the Omni-Channel/Digital Transformation, and the development of the overall Corporate Strategy.  Direct responsibility for Target.com P&L and Acquired Entities of $3B+.  Business partner to the Chief Digital Officer and Chief Strategy/Innovation Officer.

Key Accomplishments:
1) Drove $1.4B of incremental sales and $0.6B of EBIT across a variety of key investments and strategic initiatives
2) Guided the investments and analytics to grow Target.com from $1B to $10B+.  Accelerated growth from 10% PY to 45%+ in first year, partnering with the Chief Digital Officer to go after the right things
   •	  Helped the enterprise understand that “Speed Matters” and invested accordingly, not only improved the ship speed, but messaged the speed on the site via “Order by X, Get by Y”
   •	  “Click-to-Deliver” speed went from 7 to 4 days and resulted in a 10%+ sales increase
   •	  Found a $400M initiative was being de-prioritized over a $20M one.  People just didn't know the size, no business cases had been done.  Rallied the organization around the larger opportunity.
3) Developed white-space analytic's and led Enterprise Strategic Planning exercise to evaluate and prioritize innovative ideas, and identify gaps in the strategic direction. 
4) Identified and Championed key capabilities/investments required to execute the omni-channel transformation.
    •	  Investing in inventory accuracy (using RFID). Initially unpopular but the increase in inventory accuracy has enabled Target to capitalize on Ship from Stores and Pick up In Stores capability, as well as reduce OOS rates.
5) Evaluated potential acquisitions for synergies and monitored the integration/strategy of existing subsidiaries to realize enterprise value.

Finance Director, Target.com & Enterprise Strategy

The teams I led were responsible for overseeing the cost of the Website and related eCommerce systems (Information Security, Tax, Home Page, detail pages, etc.), as well as Amazon's Global IT costs and Global Financial Systems.  Additionally, I had roles during this period that supported Amazon Payments (i.e. the paypal market), Currency Conversion, as well as ad hoc support for Gift Card launches in complex countries such as India. 

Lastly, I led a procurement team responsible for driving cost out by Negotiating IT Commodities and Services with key partners such as Oracle, Microsoft, Cisco, Accenture, etc. enabling our tech teams to deliver internal products with the lowest cost and highest value.

Key Accomplishments Include:
1) Grew a world class FX business by ~500%
2) Reduced our IT Cost/User by 24% in 2 years
3) Stood up a Global IT Procurement team to leverage vendor relationships across our business segments driving $17M+ of savings annually. 
4) Coordinated international expansion plans with various product teams, Central Accounting, Shared Services, Tax, Legal, and the Software Development teams. Reduced costs by 40% and speed to market by 47%.
5) Successful application for business licensure with the RBI (Reserve Bank of India).

Senior Finance Manager - eCommerce Platform

Directed budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for North American Opex and Capex. 28 Facilities, ~$3Billion in annual costs.

Preparation and publication of the weekly business reviews, KPI’s, and other operational metrics.
Responsible for Capex approval and evaluation process - $200M+.
Partnered with Supply Chain and Transportation to drive new business decision support and Capacity Planning.

Key Accomplishments Include:
•	Led operations and capacity analysis for acquisition of Quidsi (Soap & Diapers.com).
•	Identified opportunity to leverage KIVA systems in the fulfillment organization, led the comparative analysis from 2007-2011, and championed Sr. Management to acquire KIVA (acquisition was completed in 2012 ($775M).

•	Centralization of month-end accounting, enabling 30+ SFA's and Controllers to focus on core competencies.
•	Implementation of MYSQL database and automated reporting tools. Eliminating excessive use of excel files and non-standardized/manual bridges. Saving over 2,746 man hours per year.
•	Piloted a migrant workers program to relieve labor constrained markets. Received national headlines.
•	Piloted the in-sourcing of contract labor, savings of $1.2M annually, currently being expanded - potential to save $52M once scaled.

FP&A Manager - North America Operations

Oversaw the costs and investments in Amazon Fulfillment Centers, including capital for large scale projects. Managed multiple locations in Kansas/Texas of varying product type.  Supervised procurement functions and financial analyst team.

Partnered with Operations to create financial controls/processes that were sustainable.  Significantly reduced the number of projects that had no review or were low grade via ROI, NPV criteria.

Supported the growth of Apparel business through cost analysis as a member on the leadership steering committee.

Assisted with the on-boarding of new Controllers and organized a development program for Senior Financial Analysts – guest speakers, discussion topics, and facilitated feedback sessions.

Key Accomplishments Include:
•	Cost out in excess of $2.3M annually.  $653K in annual tax credits, $422K in utilities savings (green initiatives, contract negotiations in de-regulated states).
•	Developed and executed a recovery plan for an FC that had the lowest productivity/highest cost.  Eventually became the 2nd best FC in the network over a 2 year period.  27% productivity increases and $1.2M in over-head reduction
