Joshua Ellul

Joshua Ellul is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Malta. His expertise lies in blockchain technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual machines, and operating systems. He has been a faculty member at the University of Malta since 2013 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2022.236
Dr. Ellul is also recognized for his leadership roles. He served as the Director of the Centre for Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) at the University of Malta, a position he held until stepping down in 2024 to take a sabbatical.15 Additionally, he was the Chairman of the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA) for four years, focusing on blockchain and technology regulation.12
