Software Engineer

Plan and teach recitation lessons for the introductory computer science course taught in Python. Lessons are designed to teach students how to follow best practices and avoid common coding mistakes. Further responsibilities are to grade student submissions, and provide one on one help during office hours.

Worked with a six person scrum team to maintain and develop features to integrate Lucid Chart with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket). Front end code was developed in Typescript. Backend code was developed using Scala.

Provided one on one help teaching students computer science principles: classes, functions, recursion, proper use of git, IDE features, etc.

Advised students on assorted technical issues: program bugs, compiler errors, installing tools, etc.

Computer Science Lab Tutor

Designed and developed a CRM software for Elite Roofing LLC, KY. The software was developed using Google Apps Script in Google Drive. Google Apps Script is a super set of JavaScript with added utility objects that allow access to the google drive services. The CRM software tracks lead and job life cycles and visualizes metrics of interest to the company.

Starting the summer of 2017, I worked with a team of developers to rewrite the CRM software I developed to use a MEAN stack. I helped engineer the software by writing several Angular 4 components and Express endpoints.
