Joshua Begbie is an outcomes-driven professional who was recently appointed as the new CEO of GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) in May 2023.2 He has a diverse career spanning the not-for-profit, business, and public service sectors, which has provided him with a wealth of tools for understanding people, problems, distilling insights, and finding practical solutions.1

Mediation Manager at the NSW Small Business Commissioner from 2015-2019, where he managed a team of 10 responsible for processing 13,000 annual lodgements and claims worth $190 million. Achievements included reducing claim completion time from 10 to 2 days and leading the team through a complete IT system change.1
Team Lead at NSW Treasury in 2019, leading an internal management consulting team to review the value and efficacy of two statutory bodies. Completed two full reviews in 11 weeks and implemented an agile project management framework.1
Board Secretary and Alternate Chair of the World Fair Trade Organization-Asia from 2012-2015, responsible for board communications with over 120 member organizations across 15 countries.1
