Josh Varner

Josh Varner is an experienced professional with a strong background in databases and computer science. He currently serves as the Database Backend Lead at Shopify, following previous roles at Slack, SurveyMonkey, and Twitter. Josh pursued his Computer Science degree at Oklahoma State University. Throughout his career, he has held various positions ranging from Database Reliability Engineering Manager to Senior Engineering Manager, Data Infrastructure. Prior to his roles at tech giants like Twitter and SurveyMonkey, Josh has also worked at InterWorks, Inc., as a Database Engineer, and Self-Employed as a Web Developer, among other engagements. With a keen interest in databases and computers, Josh brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his current role.
