Josh Trathen

Josh Trathen is a BA(Hons) Sustainable Product Design Graduate with a passion for Surfing, influenced by growing up in the Cornish community.

Currently residing in London, Josh aspires to establish himself in the Design industry, operating as a Freelance Product Designer under 'SAND Design' (www.sanddesign.co.uk).

He is an open-minded and eager designer interested in various design disciplines, particularly Coffee Hardware, Furniture, and Industrial products.

Josh holds a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Product Design with a 2:1 grade from Falmouth University, along with exceptional A Levels in Art & Design from Truro & Penwith College.

In his professional journey, Josh has held diverse roles such as Head Barista at WatchHouse, Freelance Product Designer & Small Business Owner at SAND design, Head of Coffee & Beverages at The Grocery Post, Wholesale Distribution partner at Assembly Coffee, Operations Manager at Redemption Roasters, among others.

His experience ranges from being a Junior Trainer & Head Barista at Origin Coffee Roasters to roles in digital design, workshops, bartending, and internships in various reputable companies.

Josh has showcased his art at exhibitions, worked on websites and publications for different organizations, and gained experience in packaging, bartending, and diverse design-related tasks.
