Josh Kopp

Josh Kopp is a skilled attorney with a focus on transactional and litigation matters, representing individuals and businesses in real estate sales, business formations, mergers, acquisitions, and rental issues.

With a special emphasis on representing banks and finance companies, Josh handles non-performing accounts, collections, credit transactions, and loan document drafting and review.

Recognized for his legal prowess, Josh has been named a Rising Star in Wisconsin Super Lawyers multiple times and acknowledged as one of Madison's top lawyers in Landlord/Tenant law.

Josh has a strong background in Landlord/Tenant law, having presented at numerous seminars and authored publications, including a chapter in a Business Organizations treatise by the Wisconsin State Bar.

His specialties include negotiating workouts, real estate foreclosures, bankruptcy proceedings, and post-judgment enforcement mechanisms such as garnishment and execution.

Josh pursued his education at University of Wisconsin Law School, where he earned his JD, and University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he received his B.S. in Political Science.

Currently, Josh serves as a Shareholder at von Briesen & Roper, s.c. and previously worked as a Partner at Boardman & Clark LLP.
