Josh Gordon
Managing Partner at Create (We're hiring!)
Josh Gordon is an accomplished professional with a diverse and extensive background in education, investments, and business development. He completed his Master's degree in Education from the University of Missouri - Saint Louis, followed by a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Yale University. He also holds a Master's in Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Mr. Gordon is presently the Managing Partner at Create, a venture capital firm where he invests in early-stage startups. He was formerly an investor at Contour Venture Partners, where he helped identify promising early-stage companies to invest in. He has also served as the Vice President and Chief of Staff to Michael Cline at Accretive, where he developed and implemented strategic initiatives. He has had stints at Knewton and Capital Innovators, where his responsibilities primarily involved business development and management. He began his professional career as a Social Studies Teacher with Saint Louis Public Schools, where he worked as a corps member with Teach for America.
Mr. Gordon's unique blend of skills and experience has made him a valuable asset in the investment community. His education background equips him with a keen understanding of the needs of the education sector, which has remained his primary interest. With his vast experience, he brings a strategic perspective to every business deal he signs, and his ability to develop new initiatives that help drive the growth of startups has earned him a reputation as a seasoned business operator.
