Joseph Xie

Joseph Xie is a first-year student at The Smith School of Business with a keen interest in social enterprise, investment finance, and the convergence of business and technology. He is an active learner who enjoys taking on new challenges both in and out of the classroom. Joseph has a background in business, leadership, and photography.

Joseph Xie completed his Ontario Secondary School Diploma in Business/Commerce at St. Roberts Catholic High School before pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. Additionally, he participated in the Queen's Leadership Excellence and Development Conference and studied Chinese Language and Literature at Huaqiao University.

Throughout his academic journey, Joseph Xie has been actively involved in various organizations and roles. He served as an Analyst at Apex Advisory, Photographer at Photograxie, National Lead at Illuminate Universe, and Founder and CEO at Value Tech. He also held leadership positions such as President of the St. Robert Business and Leadership Club and Mentor at Journeying with Our Youth. Moreover, he contributed as Summer Ministries Staff at Immanuel Baptist Church, JOY Fellow, Mentee, and Social Media Manager at AdoreThix LTD.

In his free time, Joseph Xie enjoys photography, watching true crime documentaries, and networking with new people. He describes himself as a #sonyshooter and is passionate about exploring the realms where business intersects with technology. Joseph is open to new connections and opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills.
