Joseph Whitner

Joseph Whitner is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in the value-based care and digital health sectors. He is the Managing Partner of Despierta and the Founder of Rise Health, actively involved in strategic business development, corporate development, M&A, and human resources. Joseph collaborates with private equity sponsors to enhance portfolio companies and engage key stakeholders. Additionally, he supports primary care practices transitioning to fully capitated models through Rise Health. Previously, he founded Mastermind Health and worked as a Venture Capitalist at Startupbootcamp Miami, focusing on sourcing and nurturing digital health startups. Joseph has invested in and advised numerous companies, leading to successful exits. He actively contributes to various committees and associations, such as the Beacon Council and the Miami Venture Capital Association, promoting sustainable business growth in South Florida.
