Joseph Katona is a seasoned professional with 29 years of experience in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) including Industrial Hygiene, Personal Safety, Process Safety, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene obtained from Central Missouri State University in 1993 and is certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH CIH).

Joseph completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology at MacMurray College before pursuing his advanced degree in Industrial Hygiene at the University of Central Missouri.

Throughout his career, Joseph Katona has held several key positions in various organizations within the HSSE field. He currently serves as the Projects HSSE Manager at BP NA PLC. Previously, he worked as the Safety Superintendent at BP Whiting Refinery, Director of HSSE Management Systems at BP, and Risk Engineer at BP.
