Joseph Hui

Joseph Hui is a driven individual with a strong commitment to inventing and bringing products to the market that enhance the lives of people globally. As the Founder and CEO of Monarch Power, an acclaimed renewable energy company, his work encompasses water purification, solar energy, climate control, and electric transportation. With a rich background in academia, he served as the ISS Chair Professor at Arizona State University in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering. Joseph Hui's innovative spirit is evident in his contributions to energy generation and usage, particularly in HVAC, water purification, and concentrated solar power generation, utilizing his gas turbine technology. He has extended his expertise to the aviation sector by designing the Monarch TEA (Turbine Electric Airplane) powered by the Jet PEG (Polygon Electric Generator) gas turbine. Noteworthy accolades include the Excellence in Innovation Award from the Arizona Chamber and recognition as a candidate for the Arizona Corporation Commission. His educational journey includes earning a BS, MS, and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and being honored as an IEEE Fellow with the IEEE William Bennett Prize Paper Award. Additionally, he was appointed as an NSF Presidential Young Investigator by President George H. Bush.
