Joseph D’Cruz

Joseph D'Cruz is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience focusing on people, planet, and prosperity issues worldwide. With a background in Economics and Politics from the University of Melbourne and a Master's in Political Economy from the University of Leeds, Joseph has a strong educational foundation in addressing complex global challenges. He has held key roles in prominent organizations, including serving as the Chief Executive Officer at the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), where he is currently leveraging his expertise to create a sustainable future for farmers and stakeholders in the palm oil industry. With a deep commitment to sustainable development, Joseph has also worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in various capacities, such as Special Advisor in Strategic Planning & Innovation, Asia-Pacific Team Leader for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development, and as a Regional Technical Advisor. Joseph has also contributed his strategic insights as the Co-Chair for the Global Future Council on Global Public Goods in the 4th Industrial Revolution at the World Economic Forum. Having returned to Kuala Lumpur in early 2022 after an extensive period of working abroad, Joseph brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in driving positive change and shaping a more sustainable future.
