Jose Pinto is a highly experienced individual with a broad array of expertise in the food science and human nutrition sectors, as well as experience in business administration and human resources management. With degrees in Food Science and Human Nutrition Studies from Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde-Sul and an MBA in Marketing from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Pinto has a comprehensive academic background that sets him apart as an exceptional professional.
Pinto's experience includes working with major organizations such as Sands China and The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel. As HR Director, Human Capital Foresight at Sands China, Pinto was responsible for HR Large Scale Deployment and Lean Coaching. He also worked as a Research Assistant - Lecturer at Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde-Sul and previously as Licensing and Inspection - Senior Manager at Macao Government Tourism Office.
In addition to his experience in human resources and food science, Pinto is also an experienced coach and consultant. He has worked as an Integrated Resorts, Hotel Pre-openings L&D consultant for The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel and as a Food Science Consultant at Alicontrol, tecnologia e controlo de alimentos, Lda. He has also undertaken Lean Management, Kaizen and 5s foundational work, Value Stream Mapping, Lean Project Management Canvas, and an extensive range of other methodologies to ensure that he can manage projects efficiently whilst maintaining excellent communication with his team.
Pinto's research interests include food science research, human clinical nutrition, coaching and cognitive coaching, regulatory policy frameworks for the food and tourism industry, food safety management, and HACCP. He is skilled in ISO certification protocols including ISO22000, ISO9001, and ISO30414, and particularly has a talent for implementing large-scale deployment programs with a specific emphasis on operational programs and learning and development.
