Jose Paul Martin is an experienced investor and investment advisor with over a decade in trading, investing, and consulting. He began his career in 1999 at Merrill Lynch after earning a degree in business administration with a focus on finance and marketing. His early experiences in the investment banking sector motivated him to pursue entrepreneurship and management consulting, which he did at several prestigious firms, including Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young, and BDO.
In 2000, following the market crash, he completed his MBA and transitioned into venture capital and private equity, where he has been instrumental in funding and building businesses, managing investments totaling around $300 million. In 2016, he co-founded Encapita Investment Advisory and subsequently established BayFolio in 2023, focusing on mutual fund distribution.
