Jose Degwitz

Jose Baquero Degwitz is a junior at NYU Stern School of Business with a focus on Finance and Data Science. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, he has had a diverse work experience in the finance sector, including roles as an energy analyst at ION Energia in Guatemala, Latin American M&A analyst at LatamIB, and Global Investment Office Sophomore Summer Analyst at Morgan Stanley. Currently, Jose holds the position of Incoming Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs and serves as the VP of Education at Hispanic Capital Group, a non-profit investment fund aimed at nurturing Hispanic talent in the financial industry.

In terms of education, Jose Baquero Degwitz pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business with concentrations in Finance and Data Science at NYU Stern School of Business. Prior to that, he completed his High School Diploma at Cistercian Preparatory School with a remarkable GPA of 4.50.

Jose Baquero Degwitz's professional journey includes diverse roles that have honed his skills in finance and investment banking. His affiliations range from working at renowned financial institutions like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs to contributing to the growth and development of future Hispanic financial leaders through his involvement with the Hispanic Capital Group.

Outside academia and the finance world, Jose Baquero Degwitz enjoys a variety of hobbies which include tennis, soccer, scuba diving, and following Formula 1 racing.
