Xanthe Jory
Chief Policy and Planning Officer, Division of Early Childhood Education
Jory Xanthe is an extensively educated individual with a diverse background in education policy, program management, and school leadership.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies/Affairs from Stanford University, a Master of Education in Elementary Education from City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College, and a Master of Education in School Leadership from Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
In his professional journey, Jory has held various key roles at the NYC Department of Education, including Chief Policy and Planning Officer, Senior Executive Director of Policy and Program Management, Executive Director of Expansion Policy and Performance, and Senior Director of Recruitment, Design, and Development.
Prior to his work in the public education sector, Jory was a Partner at TNTP in Knowledge Management, a Senior Education Consultant, and a Founding Executive Director at Bronx Charter School for the Arts.
Jory also contributed to the development of teaching fellows as a Director of Fellow Support with TNTP and started his career as a Teacher in the NYC Department of Education through Teach For America (TFA Corps Member).
