Jorge Izquierdo is a prominent figure in the tech industry, best known for his roles at Aragon One. With a background in Computer Science, he studied at the Recurse Center. He holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Aragon One and has previously served as Cofounder, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chief Technology Officer at Aragon. Breaking my usual crypto-only content for something personal that I've been pouring a lot of energy into lately.

Last Sunday, I ran the Malaga Marathon in 2:45:06. It was by far the hardest race I’ve ever run. Even though I fell short of my goal, it still felt incredible.

I started running regularly two years ago. While building Aragon, I let my physical shape deteriorate far too much. In 2022, I completed my first half marathon, and riding the runner’s high, I signed up for my first full marathon later that year.

Since then, I’ve run three marathons (3:38, 2:57, and 2:54). This year, I wanted to take it up a notch. I’ve been working with a coach toward a tentative goal of breaking 2:40. I didn’t quite get there this time—but I’m close.

Marathon running feels like LEGOs for adults. There are so many variables to tweak, optimize, and improve. It’s an endless rabbit hole, and I absolutely love it. Highly recommend it to fellow nerds.
