With a background in teaching on Rikers Island for three years, Jordyn witnessed firsthand the impact of mass incarceration and aimed to provide quality employment opportunities for formerly incarcerated young adults.
As the CEO and co-Founding member of Drive Change, Inc., Jordyn leads a workforce development organization that focuses on empowering young adults aged 18-25 returning home from jail by offering them career opportunities in the food industry.
Drive Change stands out by not only supporting the young individuals but also working with employers and managers to build anti-racist, equitable, and inclusive workplaces.
Jordyn emphasizes the importance of daily practices in interactions and investments in people, highlighting the ongoing commitment to creating spaces that value the talents of all individuals.
Her educational journey includes studies at The Dalton School, Wesleyan University for a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, Pace University-New York for a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, and Colgate University for Psychology and Film.
