Strategic Coordination Advisor at United Nations World Food Programme
Jordi Renart is currently serving as the Strategic Coordination Advisor at the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). In this role, he is responsible for advising on strategic initiatives and coordination efforts within the organization. His career at WFP began in 2006, and he has held various significant positions, including Programme Coordinator in the Office of the Executive Director, where he advised on issues related to food markets, trade, and global governance institutions. Additionally, he contributed to drafting WFP’s Strategic Plan for 2008-2013 while working in the Policy and Strategy Division.12
Renart's academic background includes a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Navarra in Spain and a Master's degree in International Trade and Development from the Institut d’Études Politiques in Paris. He is multilingual, fluent in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Catalan.1 His professional experience also includes roles in a wealth management firm in Paris and in the cabinet of the European Union Trade Commissioner in Brussels.1
