Jordan Leising

Jordan Leising is an Instructional Designer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has spent the last 11 years in higher education teaching political science and working with faculty to design and provide meaningful online, in-person, and hybrid learning experiences for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.1
Leising has a keen interest in inclusive pedagogy, online student user experience, faculty development, and exploring instructional technology. He has taught a variety of political science courses including Introduction to American Government, Texas Government, State and Local Politics, Foreign Policy, Human Rights, and more.1
Prior to his current role, Leising was an Assistant Instructional Designer at the University of Illinois from 2019 to 2020. He has also held positions as a Professor of Government at Tyler Junior College and an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Saint Joseph's College.1
Leising received his Master of Arts in Political Science with a focus on Public Policy and American Politics from the University of Kentucky. He also holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from St. Joseph's College (IN).1
