Jordan Jacobs

Jordan Jacobs, a Toronto native, has been a member of the Board of Directors at Tennis Canada since May 2021. He is a prominent figure in the technology and artificial intelligence sectors, serving as the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Radical Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on AI. Jacobs also co-founded Layer 6 AI, which was acquired by TD Bank in 2018, where he subsequently served as Chief AI Officer (Business & Strategy). Additionally, he is a founding member of the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence and sits on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR).134

Before his career in AI and venture capital, Jacobs practiced as a tech, media, and sports lawyer for 15 years. He also founded SpyBox Media and executive-produced the Emmy-nominated TV series Spectacle with Sir Elton John and Elvis Costello. Jacobs holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he was admitted at age 19.123

A lifelong tennis enthusiast, Jacobs has been involved with the sport since childhood, including serving as a ball kid at major Canadian tennis events. His passion for tennis extends to his family, with both of his sons participating in high-performance tennis academies.14
