He currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Nutreco, a renowned global leader in animal nutrition and aquafeed, overseeing strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate venturing.

In addition to his role at Nutreco, Joost Matthijssen also holds positions as a Non-Executive Director at various innovative technology companies, particularly in the biotech sector, showcasing his versatile expertise. He is a certified Board Member with a specialization in the INSEAD International Directors Programme.

Prior to his current roles, Joost Matthijssen gained valuable experience as a Project Leader at the prestigious Boston Consulting Group, where he worked on diverse projects spanning industries like agriculture, industrial goods, and energy, focusing on strategy, organization, and innovation.
