Jono Millin

Jono Millin is a co-founder and Chief Data Officer at DroneDeploy, a company he established in February 2013.3 DroneDeploy specializes in reality capture software, focusing on drone mapping and photo documentation across various industries.2

Millin has a strong background in computer science and artificial intelligence. He holds a BScS in Computer Science, Information Systems, and Applied Mathematics, as well as a BScH in Computer Science from Rhodes University.3 He also earned an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh.3

Before founding DroneDeploy, Millin was involved in several entrepreneurial ventures. He founded AdvertEyes, a company that developed digital billboards using real-time image analysis for targeted advertising.3 He also co-founded Zoomatelo, a carpooling facilitation website.3

Millin's academic pursuits included work towards a PhD in Adaptive and Neural Computation at the University of Edinburgh, where he researched ways of combining decisions from different agents and algorithms.3 His expertise in machine learning and computer vision has been instrumental in developing DroneDeploy's AI-powered platform for drone operations and data analysis.12
