Jonelle Vette

Jonelle V. is a co-founder of Value Detroit LLC, a for-profit affordable housing investment and land contract sales company in Detroit, Michigan, established in 2018. She manages various aspects of the business including daily operations, marketing, sales, recruitment, and business development.

Apart from her role in entrepreneurship, Jonelle V. has a diverse background. She is a former professional singer, songwriter, music educator, and digital marketing consultant, splitting her time between the US and the EU.

Jonelle is deeply passionate about several diverse interests including whole food plant-based nutrition, meditation, community building, youth literacy, art, and arts education. She actively supports and volunteers at organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, 826 Michigan, Write Girl LA, and Dilla Youth Day in Detroit, MI. Additionally, she offers free songwriting courses when her schedule permits and was a founding member of Steve Seskin's Songwork.com.

Her leadership and recruitment abilities are notable, along with her proficiency in foreign languages such as fluent Spanish, intermediate Portuguese (Brazil), and basic German.

Education-wise, Jonelle attended The Lawrenceville School for high school, pursued her Bachelor's degree at Georgetown University, and obtained a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music.

Jonelle V.'s professional experience includes roles as a real estate investor in Detroit, a copywriter, graphic designer, photographer, photo editor, and email marketer. She was also the co-founder of Songwork.com and engaged in self-employment as a singer, songwriter, and performer under Low Cut Records / Vette Music Publishing. Additionally, Jonelle served as the Programs Manager of the Department of International Programming at The Kennedy Center.
