Jonathan Schleifer is a skilled policy professional and activist based in New York. He is dedicated to achieving social justice and policy change through political advocacy and community organizing. Schleifer is the Executive Director of The Fairness Project, where he leads efforts to promote progressive policy changes through ballot initiatives and legislative advocacy. Prior to this role, he served as the Interim Chief Policy Officer of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), Vice President at Spitfire, Executive Director of Educators 4 Excellence, and Chief Policy Officer of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

Schleifer's educational background includes a Master's degree from the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, an MA from Teachers College at Columbia University, and a BA from Rutgers University. Before his career in policy, Schleifer taught middle school through Teach for America and worked as a Senior Teaching and Research Associate at the Harvard Kennedy School.

In addition to his work in policy advocacy, Schleifer is passionate about Magnatile construction and enjoys exploring its limits. He is a high school alumnus of Ramaz Upper School.
