Jonathan Oliver

Jonathan Oliver is a seasoned data scientist with over 20 years of experience in application design and development, specializing in building machine learning and statistical systems. His expertise spans programming, data mining, and statistics, and he has contributed to scientific and commercial projects, including developing software for the Mars lander and award-winning antispam filters.

Jonathan pursued his academic journey by studying for a PhD in Computer Science and a BSc Hons in Mathematics at Monash University, acquiring a strong foundation in mathematical and computational principles.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has held various key roles at reputable organizations such as Trend Micro, where he excelled as a Data Scientist and Senior Architect. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Spam Fighter at MailFrontier Inc, Software Architect at Dynaptics Corp, Consultant at Cygnus Inc, and even co-founded Ultimode Inc, where he contributed as a Co-founder, Senior Scientist, and Data Mining Consultant.
