With a passion for reshaping the trajectory of emerging cities and their marginalized areas, Jonathan established Utopia in 2016. Utopia functions as a design and urban innovation group dedicated to pioneering the future of these dynamic urban environments. Prior to Utopia, he also founded INCLUDED in 2006, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering migrants in urban slums by offering vital opportunities through a network of community centers.

    Jonathan's expertise and dedication extend to various advisory roles, including serving on the advisory board of Harvard GSD's Master of Design Engineering program and the World Economic Forum's Urbanization Initiative. Furthermore, he has been recognized as a Schwab Social Entrepreneur by the World Economic Forum for his outstanding contributions.

    Jonathan Hursh's educational background includes immersive courses at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, focusing on Urban Planning and Design, along with a program in Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from the University of South Alabama.

    Throughout his career, Jonathan has been at the forefront of initiatives that blend creativity, social impact, and urban development, leaving a lasting imprint on the domains of design, innovation, and community empowerment.
