He holds a HS Diploma from Morton High School, ranking 1 out of 33 students, a BS in International Relations from the United States Military Academy at West Point, ranking 4th out of 933, and a Master's degree in National Security Policy Studies from Georgetown University. With a diverse educational background focused on security studies and international relations, Jonathan has cultivated a strong foundation for his career in city development and transportation.

Jonathan Hopkins has held several key positions in various organizations, showcasing his dedication to improving mobility and urban infrastructure. Currently serving as the VP of Mobility at Brightline Trains, his role involves spearheading initiatives to enhance transportation systems. Prior to this, he was engaged with Seattle Subway in executive and political director roles, where he contributed significantly to the organization's mission. Jonathan also has experience with Lime, Cascadia Rail, Commute Seattle, Uber, McKinsey & Company, and other prominent entities, demonstrating his versatility and expertise in the urban planning and transportation sectors.

Jonathan's past experiences in the US Army have provided him with a unique perspective on leadership, operations, and strategic planning. Having served in various capacities from Platoon Leader to Company Commander and Brigade Plans Officer, he has honed his skills in organizational management and strategic development. This military background enriches his approach to city planning and transportation, making him a well-rounded professional with a broad skill set.
