Jonathan Harley is the Head of Global Strategic Partnerships at Canva, a role he has held since September 2021. In this position, he is responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships that enhance Canva's global presence and offerings. Prior to this, he also served as the Head of Media Strategy and Development at Canva, where he focused on addressing design and production challenges faced by newsrooms and media organizations since January 2020.
Before joining Canva, Harley had an extensive career in media and journalism. He worked at Twitter as the Director of News Partnerships for Asia-Pacific from November 2016 to February 2019, where he was instrumental in shaping the news partnerships strategy across the region. His earlier roles included significant positions at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), where he served as a Bureau Chief in South Asia and a Senior Producer for 60 Minutes, among others.
Harley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and completed the Stanford Executive Program in Business Administration at Stanford University in 2015. His diverse background combines media expertise with strategic partnership development, making him a prominent figure in the intersection of technology and journalism.
