Jonathan Gray

Jonathan Gray is a highly skilled data scientist and engineer, with a passion for using his expertise to drive positive social change. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence from City University London, where he graduated with the highest honors. He then moved on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy in Complex Systems Simulation and Social Statistics at the University of Southampton. His academic background has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of complex systems, data management, and statistical analysis.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has worked with various organizations, including the Flowminder Foundation, Communications International Group, and Ashton Park School. He currently works as a Data Scientist and Engineer at the Flowminder Foundation, where he is tasked with building data pipelines and analysis tools for CDR (mobile phone call data records) to track displaced persons. Jonathan's expertise in data mangling, python programming, SQL wrangling, and building data pipelines make him an invaluable asset to the Flowminder Foundation.

Jonathan is a passionate promoter of social good and has designed various tools and frameworks that help organizations advance their social mission. His open-source project, FlowKit, is an excellent example of his commitment to social good. The platform is geared towards helping aid organizations to track and manage displaced persons using CDR data, improving transparency, and accountability.
