Jonathan Fogelson
Partner at Michael Singer Studio
Jonathan Fogelson is a multidisciplinary designer and planner with a diverse background in site planning, construction, urban design, and public art projects.
Since 2005, Jonathan has been an integral part of Michael Singer Studio, collaborating on various planning and design initiatives with organizations like the MIT Media Lab, CT Seagrant, Community Solutions, and The Health Impact Project.
His role at the studio involved leading projects focused on spaces for individuals with ASD, neighborhood sustainability plans, and fabrication of public art installations in notable locations such as Queens Plaza NYC and the Austin Intl Airport.
Outside the studio, Jonathan works on small-scale design-build projects and has previous experience working with renowned product designer Eva Zeisel.
As an urban design lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, Jonathan has been teaching studios and core curriculum classes since 2008, including developing and leading the first urban design concentration introductory studio at the school.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Architecture, Master of City Planning in Urban Design, and Urban Design Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design.
Jonathan Fogelson has been a speaker at various conferences covering topics such as urban planning, environmental protection, behavior analysis, and sustainable living. He has also contributed to the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council Urban Design Review Panel.
