Jonathan Beard

Dr. Jonathan Beard is a Partner in the Infrastructure Advisory division at Ernst & Young (EY), based in Hong Kong. He has over 20 years of experience in the industry, specializing in various aspects of infrastructure development, including strategic master-planning, feasibility studies, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and transportation policy. His expertise has been utilized in projects across more than 25 countries, where he has advised on significant infrastructure initiatives such as the master planning for major ports like Shanghai, Klang, and Hong Kong.12

In his role at EY, Dr. Beard focuses on developing infrastructure and transport advisory services across the Asia Pacific region. His recent projects include leading pre-feasibility studies for airports and ports in the Middle East, contributing to Malaysia's National Port Strategy, and conducting market advisory for an e-commerce facility.123 He holds a BA, MA, and PhD in Geography from Cambridge University and is a Certified Management Consultant. Additionally, he has held leadership positions within professional organizations related to management consulting in Hong Kong.12
