Jonas Kunst
Professor in Cultural and Community Psychology
Jonas Kunst is a distinguished expert in intercultural relations, acculturation, prejudice/discrimination, and political attitudes/behavior.
He is renowned for his research on psychological perspectives related to human dietary patterns, such as meat consumption, spanning various cultures and contexts.

Jonas pursued his higher education at top institutions, including a Master's degree in Cultural, Societal, and Social Psychology from Universitetet i Oslo (UiO), a Bachelor's degree in General Psychology from Universitetet i Bergen (UiB), and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Social Psychology from the University of Oslo (UiO).
Currently, Jonas serves as a Professor in Cultural and Community Psychology at the University of Oslo (UiO), building on his past roles as an Associate Professor at the same institution and a Post-doc at Yale University.
His professional journey also includes various positions such as a Program for Young Research Leaders at the University of Bergen (UiB), an Expert at the European Commission, and roles at prestigious institutions like Harvard University, where he was an Associated Fellow at the Sidanius Lab and a Visiting Fulbright Scholar.
Prior to his academic career, Jonas was actively involved in community service, serving as a Social Mentor and Social Therapist at Oslo kommune, as well as holding positions at Studentsamskipnaden i Oslo og Akershus (SiO) and Ungdom mot Vold.
