Jonah Wagner

Jonah Wagner is the Senior Advisor for Industrial Strategy at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office. In this role, he focuses on implementing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), as well as defining pathways to scale clean energy technologies.
Before joining the DOE, Wagner was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in public finance. He also worked with the New Zealand Treasury on infrastructure and environmental policy. Additionally, he served as the LATAM Regional Director and Global Head of Strategy for Delterra, a social enterprise aimed at establishing municipal recycling systems, and led business development for Piramal Water LLC in Gujarat, India.
Wagner holds an A.B. from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and he is based in Washington, D.C..123
