Jon Pollak

Jon Pollak, a Program Manager at the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science (CUAHSI), is a well-rounded professional with a background in hydrology, geography, and urban informatics. He has a Master of Arts in Geography from The University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Mary Washington College. Pollak is also a Gradient Fellow in the Regenerative Agriculture Program at The Centre for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems.
Before his current role at CUAHSI, Pollak founded The Oyster Common, a startup that is developing a Virtual Fishmonger powered by artificial intelligence, to promote local seafood in the United States. His experience also includes working as a User Support Specialist at CUAHSI and as a Geospatial Analyst at SAIC.
As a Program Manager, Pollak leads the research and technology development for the advancement of water science and STEM education at CUAHSI, which is funded by the National Science Foundation. He is also a member of the Association of American Geographers, the Urban Affairs Association, and the Society for Conservation GIS.
