Jon Frey

Jon Frey is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Berkshire. In his role, Jon is responsible for a range of key functions including Portfolio and Asset Management, Property Operations, and Information Technology. With a focus on Berkshire's equity funds, he drives collaboration to enhance operational and investment performance. Jon also holds the position of Vice Chair on Berkshire's Investment Committee, illustrating his significant role within the organization.

Prior to his tenure at Berkshire, Jon worked at The Davis Companies as a Managing Director. During his time there, he managed investor relationships, oversaw investments, and contributed to the firm's growth as an institutional fund manager with a substantial capital base. Before that, Jon gained valuable experience at AEW Capital Management as a Vice President in the opportunity fund group, where he began his real estate career and developed expertise in acquisitions and development transactions.

Jon's professional journey also includes a successful stint in the technology industry, spending a decade as an executive in the San Francisco Bay area. He collaborated with startups and established companies, focusing on internet-based business development. Jon's interest in technology and sustainability remains strong, particularly in their applications for enhancing the built environment.
